Golf Clubs

According to the rules of golf, there is a number of maximum 14 clubs that a player may use, each one with its own special purpose. These clubs are usually made of composite materials or different alloys.

Types of clubs:

  • Fairway wood (clubs 1, 3 and 5) – are used to start the game, being capable of a very strong blow that will send the ball as far as possible. They usually cost between 300 and 600 euros;

  • Iron (clubs 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9) – these are the most used clubs during a game. Their price ranges between 600 and 1000 euros;

  • Wedge (pitch wedge, sand wedge and loft-wedge) – these clubs are used for shots that have a high degree of difficulty. The trajectory of a ball that is hit with a wedge is very high and the roll of the ball when it hits the ground is almost zero. They cost 100 – 150 euros;

  • Putter – is the club which gives the final blow, on the green area. The putter is the shortest but also the hardest. It costs approximately 150 – 250 euros.
